Last year a cycling tour was made from Cluj to the north-east: Maramures, Moldova visiting Hodora (Nijlen) and Moldovita (Kruibeke).

From June 9^th till 19^th ,2017 a second cycling tour is planned from Timisoara, in the South-West of Romania: the Banat, the Southern Carpatians.  Besides the flat rides and hilly nature parks, there  has to be climbed considerably.The Transalpina is laying on the route, the highest mountain pass in the Carpatians.  We 'll visit Taut (Bihor) and Armenis (Caras-Severin), 2 villages where the home care project 'll be started. ADR, having a lot of expirience, is organizing the tour. You only have  to register yourself in time. more info via contact.

In the middle of September a 3rd cycling tour is planned from Bucharest, the villages of Viscri (Glabbeek) and Dumitresti (Tessenderlo) will be visited. This tour also is going through beautiful passes in the Carpathians (e.g. the Transfagarasan, the most beautiful road of Europe according to Top Gear). This tour is not completely fixed yet..

The daily trips

Day 1 Flying with  WizzAir from Eindhoven toTimisoara, then by bus to a pension  in Lipova. Bicyles 'll be assembled for the cycling tour.

Day 3 Tinca  - Varadia de Mures: flat ride with first slope (500ms)

Day 4 Varadia de Mures – Armenis - Slatina-Timis: the highest top today is 377ms.

Slatina-Timis is twinned with Geel, and in Armenis, neighbour village of Slatina-Timis home care has also been started.

Day 9  Obarsia Loturlui – Alba Iulia : in the beginning a little while uphill and then smoothly going down to Alba Iulia
