There are many options for mountain bikers of all levels in the vicinity of Slatina-Timis.  In 2014 a new brochure Romanian / English was printed: "Cycling trails in the Banat mountains" with 24 pages mountain bike tracks, which can also be downloaded on GPS; more info via contact.  {gallery}mtb_trails{/gallery}

Many tracks can also be downloaded from gpsies.

We managed 2 routes on our touring bicycles: one in the Semenic area and one in the Iron Gate National Park to Ravensca and further on to the the Danube.  Stiff climbs and descents through the large forests and along rivers  are normal trails in this region.  

Occasionally we saw a signpost.
