Slatina-Timis is situated in the mountainous area of the Banat basin. The Timis valley forms a pass between the Southern Carpathians and the mountains of Banat.  The surrounding area is an extensive nature reserve with many points of interest, beautiful towns and villages.

 

The Semenic mountains lie to the west with peaks up to 1446m and strewn with authentic Bohemian villages.  To the east it is higher still with the Tarcu reaching 2190m and a beautiful ski resort with “Muntele Mic” reaching 1802m.
